I've been pulling my hair out trying to work a way to reamp my eleven rack through Sonar.
Right now I'm running X3 Producer but will be upgrading to Platinum later this week.

I'm using Windows 7, Presonus Firestudio Project, Eleven Rack, and Sonar X3 Producer.

I know the Eleven Rack is meant for Pro Tools, but I've seen tutorials about reamping through S/PDIF cables in other DAWs. So I purchased S/PDIF cables to go from my Eleven Rack to my Firestudio, connected the IN from the Firestudio to the Out of the Eleven Rack and vice versa.  I don't think this part is my issue though.

I have no problem selecting S/PDIF as an input source in Sonar, but for whatever reason there is no output option for S/PDIF.

What do I need to do to make S/PDIF an output option in Sonar?

Is your s/pdif output active?
go to preferences/audio devices, and see if your s/pdif output is checked

1. set up the track you want to re-amp to go to the proper input of the 11R
2. Set a tract to receive the proper output of the 11R
3. You can do this in 11R editor or on the 11R interface. set the input to the one you want, ie: S/PDIF

I've re-amped before but using the digital in to the 11R and using the regular 11R output going into Sonar. I agree though, it's confusing. The trick is to line up the output of your track, you want to re-amp, to the input of the 11R. Then the output of the 11R to the input of the destination track in Sonar.
