With the CW announcement earlier today of effectively shutting down their business, I would like to take this opportunity before this community fades away to thank all of you who have been such a great part of my life these past ten years. The collaborations, the arguments, the knowledge-sharing, the good ears for a critical listen....it's been a pleasure.

SO, in the great words of our dear departed friend Jimmy Gentry:

Ain't Life a wonderful thing?

Good on you James, and thank you for your encouragement and constructive critiques. I do hope the forum will continue in one form or another.

James, I appreciate all the helpful advice from you over the years.  You're always welcome to stay in touch, and may you continue to create!

James,

All the best to you, will miss your Factory YoYo productions for sure.   Hopefully the forum in some form will survive.

In the event it doesn't, I would be curious to know if there are some other like Forums where some of you post your music?  Would be great to keep in touch.

Regards

Dear old Jimmy was one of the very best contributors here IMO. Not just in his effortless sounding style of music, but also in his comments. You could always tell that he really listened before commenting and wasn't just saying any old thing in the hope of getting his own thread bumped in return.

If the fat lady is indeed doing her warm ups then I reckon it's only right to bring Jimmy back for a final curtain call...

Always loved that track.

Oh, and you weren't too bad either

I miss that songs forum....the modern day version probably not so much, but I'd still rather have it than not have it.

I can only add to what you guys have already said. It is a sad day and my electronic music life will be all the poorer without this community, which will sadly drift apart. This year I set out to do the unthinkable (for me at least) of at least one track a week and I will make this target, which is down to this communities support, constructive feedback and criticism. I feel that I have grown as a music producer but again this is down to the community that we have all taken a part in building.

I hope this is not going to be farewell and some mystery benefactor will swoop in at the final curtain to rescue what is a fantastic DAW with a nice workflow.

Take care chaps and hope to see some of you around other music forums.
