I am licensed for Sonar 8.5 Producer, but I can't find the install disks. I want to make sure I have a copy for the future.
 
Is there a way to download 8.5?
 
Also, remind me how to find the serial number. I have a copy installed and it shows a serial number starting with CWSP - 8.5.  Is that all I need?

Thanks but the earliest DAW showing for my account is X2 producer.  8.5 does not seem to be on the list.

The full SONAR 8.5 was never available as a download. SONAR 8.5 was the first upgrade available as a download but unlike X1 and newer, the SONAR 8.5 upgrade is not a complete version of SONAR. This was done to reduce the bandwidth required for the download. The SONAR 8.5 upgrade download requires SONAR 8 (available only on disk) be installed prior to running the upgrade. Cakewalk did provide disks for the SONAR 8.5 upgrade. The disks like all other disk based upgrades is the full version.

Log into your account at cakewalk.com. And look at "My Products" under your account.
 
You should be able to download it there. If it's not there, you're out of luck for downloads, as Cakewalk Inc is no longer.

Sonar 8 was distributed on DVD disk only.  No downloads were provided.  X1 was the first version of Sonar distributed by a download.
 
If you already have Sonar 8 installed, you can download an 8.5 upgrade from your account.  But that is not a full Sonar installer, it's just an upgrader to the 8.5 version.
