Hi Guys,

I have a quick and somewhat embarrassing question. I am using the current edition of Sonar Student. I can't seem to find the FX view. It has disappeared from the left side of the screen. Is there a keyboard shortcut or an option somewhere to retrive it? I can't seem to find an answer for this very simple thing. Thanks in advance!

Cheers.

not really sure what you mean by "FX view" but its okay.
You might be referring to the Browser. Just hit the "B" key to open it back up.
When it is open there are little tabs on the browser that allow different views to be seen (Media, FX, Presets).

You can also try "I" for the inspector. that might be what your talking about as well.

You can always use the tab on the very top of the screen as well. The VIEW > Browser or any other view you may need back in sight. Don't be embarrassed at all my friend.

Its all about terminology and names of things which will help you explain yourself clearer.
We all go through that every day.

To my knowledge there is no version called Sonar Student. If I have things right. That is a discount for students when they buy Sonar. They can buy Artist or Professional or Platinum at a reduced price. Its called Cakewalk Academic Discount.

There is no view called FX view. You either mean the FX list in the Browser, Browser View or the FX bin or Pro Channel. The Inspector can list the FX inserted in a tracks FX Bin.

Maybe the fx bin disappeared from the track header. Check if the Track Control selection control at the top of the Track pane (above all the track headers) says "All".
