I'm on the December release. If I use the command, Bounce To Tracks, the rendered track is amplified by 3db. Can anyone confirm this? It's 100% repeatable for me and rather annoying.

Could it be related to the Mono audio clips may be increased by 3 dB in certain scenarios in http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=Playback.19.html

Nope. I checked and the interleave is stereo, but thanks for the idea.

have you tried a few tests John ? on different types of audio signals (mono vs stereo)
And can you tell us a little bit about the data being bounced to tracks. is any mono, some stereo, all stereo, exc. are there synths ?
panning ?

I can not repro it here, so im trying to get as much info as possible to help you nail down what might be the issue (whether it be sonar or tracks).

Great ideas guys, thank you.

I am working on an audio book. Right now it's just a single long clip of audio. During recording the author stops and starts randomly. I have to take the big clip and slice out all the glitches. Then I close up all the holes. I end up with a chapter composed of numerous smaller clips. I bounce to a track to make a single clip per chapter and preserve my original edits. I'm bouncing stereo to stereo, so I'm not thinking it's a pan law issue.

I'll let you know how I turns out after I investigate the suggested links.

Well it's fixed. I changed the pan law from the default to the 0db, balanced setting and there's no longer any gain. No idea why the default pan law caused an issue. I've used it before and never seen this problem.

Thanks for giving the old brain a nudge.
