Thank you for your replies guys..I guess I'll post a video of what I'm doing and what the output is like. No luck at my side so far.

Were you able to open Melodyne?

Yes I had to install Melodyne and it seems to work. I need to figure out a way to quantize and make it sound clean. Its still a work in progress but I'm happy :)

Thank you so much.

The mono tack has to be simple and clean. One little string squeak will throw it off. It works great on bass but not sure what it would do with my singing :)

lol. I'm trying to use a kick drum..however the track has some bleed from the other drums. I'll have to figure a way to clean that up.

So your original error was fixed?
You could use a gate to clean up the audio before throwing it on the midi track.

For a kick drum you should use drum replacer. It has a simple to use slider where you can see the transients and quickly get a good setting.
I haven't figured out how you turn it into a midi file yet but there is a few kick samples built in that might work for you.

I tried the melodyn drag and drop on a real snare track. There was no bleed I played it solo. It created about 6 lanes of midi notes. I figure there's a dialog somewhere to set it for percussion but it doesn't pop up when you do the quick drag and drop.
But drum replacer seems to work it just then at this point I'm stuck with it's built in sounds. So time to RTFM.

Drum Replacer is only included in Sonar Platinum.

But the current way should still work fine, don't worry.
