It just came to my attention that microtuning will no longer be possible in Z3ta+2.   Z3ta+ and your other instruments do support microtuning (Scala file support).   The main reason I started using Sonar and Cakewalk instruments is the support for microtuning.   You've built a name for yourselves in the microtonal community, and you're about to destroy it again with Z3ta+2 :(   Instruments that don't support microtuning are completely useless to me and all other microtonalists.   Please re-implement microtuning (Scala file support) in Z3ta+2 and other future instruments! Please.   If you do this, you'll have me (and many other microtonalists) as a very loyal, happy customer and promoter of Cakewalk software.   But you have to understand that microtuning support is an absolutely essential feature.

I fully support this request and hope that this functionality will be re-implemented very quickly.

+10 to this request.......

not only does it help microtonalists but it helps in fine tuning your instrument to be in tune with tonal music ......

Please, please keep microtuning in your products!

I use Z3TA+ and Dimension Pro microtonally on a regular basis.

I am a member of UnTwelve board of directors and have a large exposure to the online microtonal music community.

Z3TA+ has been especially popular among microtonalists for quite some time. It is sad that Cakewalk has made such a decision.

Does ZETA+ version 2 support scala tuning files like the previous versions do?

Thanks,

Chris

I use the micro-tonal feature in z3ta. I'm surprised that this would be dropped from z3ta version 2. Why take a step backwards in a new release?

For the micro-tonal folks, not all is lost, as another 'Z' product that DOES support micro-tonal scales (and does everything that z3ta does, and more): Zebra!

FWIW here is a video of me using 6 instances of Z3TA+ in Sonar with a Roland GR-20 Guitar synthesizer

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3krEHxlBSk

All of the details such how it was set up and the embedded video resides here: http://chrisvaisvil.com/?p=25

I used this set up to perform in Urbana Illinios - I made the video for a friend while I was practicing the piece and ironing out the technique.
