  • Export Entire Mix - Track Automation Not Working for Volume Envelope

I'm not sure in what version the following stopped working in SONAR, or there is a different procedure and I'm not doing something correctly.

I have an audio track where I want to apply a volume fader at the end. To do this I enabled track write automation and performed the fade during playback. The recording of the automation works, and for playback the fader moves down as expected.

Now, I try to export my entire mix as a WAV file and in the export operations I have Track Automation checked. Unfortunately, the exported WAV file does not contain the fade out; the volume envelope has not been applied.

Has anyone else duplicated this issue? I opened a support case with Cakewalk and received no response. It seems like a straight-forward procedure but it no longer works for me.

Help is appreciated. Thank you.

Automation affecting the volume fader is track automation NOT clip automation.

Important update: the recorded audio is mono but I am exporting to a stereo WAV file. The volume envelope is being applied but only to the left-channel of the exported file.

Sorry for the incorrect usage of terms. Yes, I have "Track Automation" checked for export. I have updated the original post and title to reflect the correct term.
