Hi
I have a brand new ADK computer with 4 disc drives (SSD for system), 32 GB Ram, 6 core/12 thread... 64 bits, RME FF 800, MOTU MTPAV, UAD 2 Quad.....

I keep getting BSOD on closing Sonar.

This is a brand new first time install on this PC and I have been very methodical in setting things up.

Any clues as to how to diagnose what is going wrong?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Usually a BSOD is a hardware issue or a driver issue.  Can it be assumed that you have installed the latest Windows updates and latest drivers for all your hardware from the manufacture's websites (Yes, even on a new brand new PC)

FWIW, you could use a utility that can show you the Windows crash dumps.  I use a thing called "BlueScreenView".  If you are not that knowledgeable with computers, then you might want to get a knowledgeable friends to physically pay you a visit.

If you go into System Properties, Startup and Recovery, you can change what your computer will do following a BSOD.

It's recommended that you uncheck "automatically restart" so you have the opportunity to take a picture of the actual BSOD message.
This should give a huge clue as to what's causing your BSOD

Thanks for the advice.  Yes all the drivers are the latest updates and this pc is just a few months old.

Will try the Auto Restart suggestion

I would take a look at one of those "4 HD's" your running.
In my travels 9 times out of 10 BSOD's are a failing HD, the other 1% are driver conflicts and bad ram.

run a disk check on all drives.

+1 to this. That is basically my experience, also, although I'd put it at 8 out of 10 times for the HD -- I seem to have a gift for buying defective motherboards that crap out way too soon.
