I've had this problem too when I was trying to delete clips in Track View. I kept having to use the Edit menu to delete as the Delete key would not respond.
 
This certainly seems like a bug. Maybe this thread should be moved to the Problem Reports forum.

Delete not working here either. Had to re bind. F key froze tracks even though it was bound to resize.

Please Sonar bakers...Please stop adding features and just fix the many issues that are long outstanding.

The Delete key wouldn't work for me earlier today but after I switched to a different Screenset it started working ok. The first Screenset included the Synth Rack and the second one did not.

Delete key doesn't work although I did a rebind. Perhaps because i use the german version of Platimum?

The Fix is: Preferences / Keyboard shortcuts / use Locate Key / press delete on keyboard/ then choose Delete on drop down menu. Then apply. For some strange reason this keyboard shortcut was removed with the latest update. Simple fix

I don't think it's merely a removed shortcut key. The fact that it works whenever the Synth Rack is absent and fails when it is present implies a deeper problem, one that only the CW programmers can rectify.

Yes, I agree it is a core product defect. I was glad to see that there is a workaround.

The delete key is not working here either. I'm sure there are more having this issue.

I found an "issue" when "binding" the delete key.
If editing in the any of the "views" (tempo, markers, event; these were "docked")
using the "bound" delete key deleted whatever was last "selected" in the track view.
That had some interesting results!
Don't put the synth rack "on top", that seems to work; I've rolled back.
12 will just have to "wait" here.
