HI, so i learnt how to drag audio up to timeline to create a tempo map that follows the audio, it speeds up and slows down, next step, i figure out the best click tempos and at which points the song should change.......but how do i attack this......i go into project and i change tempo to 120bpm for example at bar 1, however it only stays 120bpm until the next change of tempo, so how do i wipe the slate clean and have tempo 120 from 0.0.0 to 0.20.00 and then 80bpm from 0.21.00 etc.......just a little confused about the best process.......i learnt about this cause i posted that i had trouble figuring out click tempos, im a guitarist mainly

I always find very useful working on Tempo Map window (you can open it with Alt+Shift+5), there you can change, delete and insert new tempos with good precision.

Hope this could be helpful to you.

Cheers.

Go to the Views menu, top upper left, at the right of File and Edit options, there click on Tempo, that action should open the tempo window on Multidock easily.

Place the Now line where you want the tempo change. Go to Project>Insert Tempo Change. Set the tempo you want, click the Insert New Tempo button and away we go!

Hello - What I do in Tempo View is to set the snap setting to eights or sixteenths. Then just click where I want to change tempos. It stays in a straight line until I change it. The reason for the snap is so when I want to edit a tempo, it edits at the exact place every time. You can also draw lines & patterns, but generally I do it as I described. Hope this helps.

Yeah chuck, im starting with a rythem guitar track.......it did my head in trying to figure out click tempos, and so i was introduced to dragging the guitar to the timeline to create tempo map........which yeah, that gives me a good rough idea of what the tempo should be, and where the changes should be
