You are right of course, however I don't think I am the only one not wanting to connect his DAW to the internet.
Up to now, it wasn't a hassle because I have the discs; for me, this is the first version that is download only.
I'll see how installation goes, but 26 installs is a lot for sure, for just one product.
It's not only because of data, it's the installation also. When you have over 100 drivers, utilities, programs, etc to install in your computer, then you tweek everything to your liking, it is a lot of time to invest and I do not want to have to do it again. Also, I don't have to do backups often which saves me more time.
It's not necessarily the best way, but it is just the way I have done it in the past.
