Hey guys,

I've been looking around the knowledge base of sonar, it seems like there's no documentation for this specific scenario. I'm trying to figure out how I can do auto align of a clip in audiosnap, but I want the alignment to be based on another clip that I already manually aligned to the drums timing. I'm doing this for  guitar double tracking.(While you're reading this I'm manually doing audiosnap alignment manually in the second guitar track^_^,.)

It's basically like doing quantizing but instead of being based on the bpm, I want it to be based on another audio clip's audiosnap alignment.

Thanks.

Hi. You do not say which version of SONAR you have. If you have Platinum, you could try VocalSync. Use one as a reference for the other track.
All the best.

Add the transients of the reference clip to the pool by selecting them and choosing "add transients to pool" in the audiosnap window. Then select the unquantized clip and choose "groove quantize". Should work, I think.

This is theory though since AudioSnap almost never does what I want with its weird transient detection glitching.
