Hi, everyone. I have several VST plugins that I want to use in Music Creator 3. However, I know something is supposed to come up after you click 'Next' when it shows all the downloaded plugins, but mine just 'x's itself out, nothing happens, and when I check MC3, there are no new plugins. However, I've gotten it to work a couple times, it worked with Autotune and String Thing, but nothing else... What's the problem here?

MC3 is an old program and it may be difficult to troubleshoot.

what operating system are you running?  If you're moving MC3 to a new win7 machine, especially if it's a 64bit OS, then the VST Adapter might not work with that system.  it wasn't designed for it - it was written long before win7 was ever thought of.

It might be time to consider an upgrade to MC5..... just saying.... only $40 in the box.

Did it ever work on this computer?

Beagle: Yup, I'm on Win7 64x...
Guitarhacker: You may be right, I think I'm going to in a little while.
57Gregy: It has worked several times in the past. I don't know exactly how I got it to work those times, but it did before.

Since no version of Music Creator is officially supported for 64-bit operating systems, and all the plug-ins likewise, it's going to be a crap shoot whether anything will work. It might, it might not.
Since we're all traveling into the future, including computer manufaturers and software developers, 'a little while' will still be too late.
Even MC 5 isn't 64-bit compatible, but many folks use it on their new computers with few problems by running in 32-bit compatibility mode. And it comes with native VST support, so you won't need an adapter.

Gregy, you're an accidental genius! I ran the VST Adapter in WinXP comp mode, and it worked perfectly!! Thank you so much, guys!!

Now if I could accidentally win the lottery...
Glad you got it working.
