Ok I have switched over to the Behringer X Touch from my Roland V 700 console. The V 700 had two buttons in the lower quarter of the unit one save and one undo.
The undo would just undo for example a line I had sung but I didn't like.

On the Behringer in the utilities box the Cancel undoes the recording but when I hit save the button lights up red and the faders switch from my original tracks to something else. First four faders are up second four faders are down with no labels on any.
Can't get back to my tracks one through eight.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Unlike with V700, MCU/X-Touch do not have labels which correspond Sonar functions. For MCU there are overlays you can buy. For X-Touch you can find post on Behringer forum with printable Sonar overlay.

Thanks. Ill open up my test project and if the save and undo and redo buttons do the trick life will be good.
Well, it's already good it will just be a little better.

I have a full size overlay that can be cut out and used with the X-Touch.  I have a jpg file that is black with white lettering.  If you want it, PM me with your e-mail.
 
I'm using it on my X-Touch. I printed it out on heavy weight paper (actually light card stock) and used double sided tape to secure it to the X-Touch.
