I have disabled Windows Defender.  There are better options, such as Avast Free, Avira Free, and Bitdefender Free.

Take your pick, all score well on the AV comparatives testing...

Avast used to be good, now it feels like Spyware.

I've always paid for antivirus myself after seeing free versions not block very effectively. I came to the conclusion you get what you pay for.

(I use bitdefender and malwarebytes).

Unless it causes me more issues I'll stick with free Defender. Years of paying for A/V are a welcome loss.

Years of playing with free A/V not detecting or not cleaning viruses aren't welcome imho. When you get something major your way you'll understand one day, I've seen so much mess with freebies on customers PC's over the years.. they thought they were protected but were not. Anyway you pays or don't pays ur money you takes yers choice. Your fault if something goes wrong in the end.
