Likely not in the right forum, but who gives a flyin' fork on the way down.

It's not clear when the plug will be pulled on the forums, but a f***ing shame.
Have spent a lot of time listening to the actual music produced by you guys and girls from your websites.

Always been blown away with respect, Bitflip, Soundwise, Kenny, and and everybody inbetween.

A collective of artists doesn't exist like this anywhere else. There are progressive forums with way more geek power and brain power if you need to script or program something, but... The talent pool, actual beautiful songs are being created here more than anywhere else.

Gonna really miss this when the lights go out.

Love you all,

John

Hopefully Beyond Cakewalk will address this. Many are over there now.

Amen brother,
We can always do other DAWs. Many dance rings around the death of Sonar, so we will all survive as individuals in a better place on the other side of a forced learning curve none of us wanted.
Biggest tragedy is if we lose contact with one another.

Hey John,
Go to the "Beyond Cakewalk" forum and sign up.
You will see all your familiar forum friends there.
If the Cakewalk forum shuts down you will not lose contact with your current Cakewalk forum friends.

I got a 3 day travel pass from Bapu at Beyond. I came here. Lack of options? Lack of imagination? An appreciation of the familiar?

None of the above.
You came here because you miss your old friend.
Your old friend's name is Cakewalk Sonar.

. . . sorry, ran out of letters
. . . If you answered "D" . . . you are correct, the other choices were an honourable mention, from memories.
When this forum disappears . . . let's remember that we were here.

Ditto that...it's already not the same.  Less posting on
both sides, and it just doesn't seem "right" anymore...

This was always the place for Deals, Music, Info, Tips,
and great conversation and debate.  So it will be SORELY
missed when it's gone...

It has always been an island of civility in the polluted ocean of something I like to call, the "internet". Lars, how many times do you remember someone saying 'that's not Pro gear" or "pros don't use that". That is a sure sign of a mostly teenagers environment, by the way. People have been polite no matter what stupid s*** went through your dumb*** brain. And you didn't have to be worried about being called an old f***** either. Mostly because the next guy was even older than you. People would even say stuff like, "there's no such thing as a stupid question". Questions about their SoundBlaster always tested that theory. And, "Ive been using this software for the last 12 years and nothing has ever gone wrong until Sonar wrecked it" has always been a fav of mine. Everyone knows the answer for that is back up everything on floppy disc and format your 20 GB HD. Boy, IBM used to make a good rig.
