There was always a buzz about the place, but after the initial relief that BandLab rescued Sonar it feels as though many people have left. There has been an absence of activity and I get the feeling that many people have left. Am I the only one who feels this way?

I definitely don't feel that way.

I don't feel that way either, but I'm biased and I get access to the stats

A BIG issue I believe is the inability to post due to failed log ins etc. It has taken until today (just now in fact) to get a new log in from Bandlab because my old one no longer worked...all by itself after all these years. No doubt due to all the changes behind the scenes.

If you are reading forum posts without being to be post like I have been for a while, it can be more than a little frustrating and would certainly explain most of the inactivity I believe.

Sonar however is actually even more excellent to use since the change over IMHO.

Cheers.

The ship has new sails and the monthly releases are setting a great coarse.

As for the forum, its summer time.  Its hard to sit in front of a screen when the sun is shinning.

That's my excuse...

I'm dreading the arrival of the new forum. We don't have fast internet here.

It'll almost certainly be state-of-the-art with yet more javascript and stuff that makes pages "cool" but heavy to download.

I accept that I may not be able to participate some day.

There must be a bigger story waiting to happen but it doesn't seem that there is much focus on the core features of Cakewalk... It's bandlab, so at one point, they probably should enable some online collaboration within Cakewalk - my 2 cents guess is that this is what takes most of the dev team time.

I am not starting any new project in Cakewalk until there are improvements to the core engine, because today there is a world of difference simply between pressing play in Studio One and in Cakewalk (VST sync, latency compensation, etc). So yes I suspect a lot of people have left. Still hanging a bit because I have some projects to close - but hopeful that a miracle will happen regarding Cakewalk...

Go to your "User Control Panel" at the top of this forum
Select "Edit Profile" (which I believe is the default tab)
Find the "Avatar / Profile Photo" section of the "Edit Profile" tab
In the "Edit Avatar" box - make sure "Upload a file" is selected and click on the 'Upload a file" text (that text is actually a link)
Use the file selection dialog to find a profile picture and upload it. There are some limits on the size of the photo - mine is 640x480 PNG 218 KB
Also make sure, after you upload the file, that "use your avatar as profile photo"
