Waves updates their subversions often, especially for every new plug-in or plug-ins. Be sure you've got the very latest versions. Also report these issues to them. No issues with mine, btw, but older Waves versions will give you problems in Sonar. Best of luck!

The only waves plug I had a issue with was the CLA Guitar that they gave out free for watching the videocast a couple weeks ago. It was free so I just took it off the computer. Everything else is fine.

Good Morning,
I have all my plugins in a dedicated folder on C/Program and files/VST Plugins. When I installed Sonar Platinum have a dedicated folder from Cakewalk thru the process I changed the folder to my dedicated folder. I don't know if it have anything to do with the issues. May I have tu re install Sonar Platinum.

Have a good day,

Raf.

You can have your plugins in more than one folder.  You can use the plugin manager to point to both folders.  I don't think this would cause a crash - the plugins just wouldn't show up in Sonar.  It sounds like it might be time to contact Cakewalk tech support for their help.

Excellent. Also, make sure you're not mixing Mono <-> stereo or 64-bit <-> 32-bit Waves plugins on the same FX bin or ProChannel. If further crashes occur, I'd definitely get with Waves first. They usually have some workarounds to minimize the crashes.

Good Morning,
Thank you to everyone in this forum, you support is amazing. I have fixed the Waves plugins issues.
Here is what I did. After Contact Waves.

Before do anything create a restore point in Windows or Mac

I  sent my Waves licenses to the cloud.

Uninstall Waves completely and start fresh.

Here is a complete step by step instructions on how to uninstall and reinstall Waves on your system:

Go to Add/Remove Programs and remove anything of Waves  Control Panels > Programs and Features > Uninstall or change a programGo to Program Files(x86) and delete the Waves folder. Program Files(x86) > WavesGo to the Start Menu > Search > For all files and folders and search for "Waveshell". Delete any entry you may find.Click on the Windows START button and search for: %appdata% (this will take you to the Roaming folder - inside that location, delete Waves Audio folder).

Empty the recycle bin. Until here didn`t Work. But I follow some tip from Cakewalk Forum.
  • Go to C drive and search for Waveshell. Delete any files or folder. After Search using Waves.I found more folders. Please be careful because there as well more folders from Native Instrument with the name Waves.
  • Run Sonar Platinum (Scan all plugins)
  • Install all Waves plugins,
  • Run Sonar Platinum very important (RESET ALL PLUGINS).
  • Now work perfect.Thank you again,
    Kindest regard,

The Waves folder in the Roaming tree (as explained above) is the critical one to remove. I had a similar problem after buying some new waves plugins and reinstalling the app. This is the one folder that must be deleted so that an updat or additional installation can take place.

I hadn't come to the forum, I went to Waves and got an email back in a couple of hours. Their support is pretty good.
