I thought I was being stupid - just for once I was wrong! I honestly thought it was just me.

where are the cc downloads stored?

Didn't you read my post above yours? I added that info just in case there were still folks who hadn't found it yet. It is a little off the beaten track.
The folder is found Computer/Program Data/Cakewalk/Command center/Downloads.

Actually you can set the downloads folder in CCC settings to any path you wish.  I was wondering why the folder you referenced above was filling up my SSD.  I switched the path in CCC to point to another HDD.

Open CCC, click on settings icon > Paths tab > Download path.  Browse to wherever you want CCC to put the installers.

I created a new path and folder name that made better sense to me as well:  V:\CCC Cakewalk Installer Downloads

Yes that's a good idea,, my problem is I download mostly to my laptop which is only one 120 SSD drive. But good tip for people with 4 TB data drives where a 18 GB is a fly spec.

Still it couldn't hurt to create your own folder path on your main drive that you can remember to check see if it's getting out of hand.

When apps bury stuff in a place like "Computer/Program Data/Cakewalk/Command center/Downloads", I never think to look there to see if it needs trimming ...

well, AFAIK it updates all programs in the Sonar sub structure indicated by a yellow flag, but it does not update Sonar itself. so the way it has worked for me was to click "update all" first to get the Sonar components and once completed, click "update" to update Sonar itself ... not very intuitive ... I wish "update all" would indeed update all

A few days ago I decided to try it again and that's exactly what it did. I was expecting it to also update Platinum, but I had to do that 2nd. So maybe this is what it's supposed to do.

so it should be labelled "update almost all"?
