Honestly I gave up trying, I found it too counter active to continue using, although if it were to work properly it would be a highly useful tool

I think I found something that works. I created an automation track for the single group that I had. The group remains intact now, and I don't have to re-assign every time I start up Platinum.

They must have done something to fix that then, it's been quite a while since I played around with it, but I swear I tried an automation track and it still didn't.  But if it does now I think I'm going to have to look into again

Yeah I just recorded an automation track. I hope it works for you man.

is this ONLY when using shortcuts to synth parameters using the synth rack?  I never use the synth rack, I usually just automate ACT right to the synth directly with the VST open and those settings STAY just fine.

If you're still interested TranceCanada, I got rid of my automation track and still made it save. I had a Group of 2 knobs that weren't saving. I finally got it to save by Remote Control mapping both knobs to the same physical knob on my MIDI controller. It finally saved. No more re-Grouping when opening the Project.

The funny thing is, I had deleted the knobs, and then the 2 parameters in FM8 were still operating together with the mouse! I had to fix this by reinserting the same knobs and right clicking for Clear Group on both virtual knobs to let my synth parameters operate independently again. Just quirks to Sonar.
