Something odd has happened to my workflow all of sudden.
in the Console view, whenever I go to the ProChannel area and click the tiny file folder to load one of their presets...
the "Guitar" one is messed up.

All the others work perfectly, as they should, and, the "guitar" preset was working at least a few days ago.

Instead of loading the preset, it assigns a Sonitus parametric EQ preset.... but it doesnt affect anything that I can tell. The only thing I can do at this point, is open the ProChannel, alt-click the power button on the equalizer, and the Sonitus eq goes away and and the prochannel style EQ shows up,,, but all the points are flat. Theres no eq curves at all. I can edit them at that point...but the rest of the effects are missing.

All the other prochannel file presets work perfectly, only the guitar doesnt work.

Any advice on how I can fix/battle this? Thanks for any responses.

It almost sounds like you may have over-written the guitar preset with the Sonitas EQ turned on.  You may want to check the date/time stamps on your settings files "C:\Cakewalk Content\SONAR X3 Producer\ProChannel Presets" to see it that is what happened.

Yep I sure did; good catch.

Any way to get the original back? Can I download it or something?

I figured out a work-around... apparently the presets arent actually set in stone. I mean if you save over a preset in one song, chances are good that in an earlier song, the preset is used correctly and still works.

So I opened an older song and noticed the "guitar" preset was in use on a channel and functioning correctly. I hovered over that, selected save, and then named it "guitar new".

Tested "guitar new" preset on a new file and it worked!
