Hello everyone,

I'm interested in purchasing Music Creator 6, but before I do I want to know if it is compatible with Windows 8 (64bit), as I have just upgraded.

I suspect that it should probably work, as Windows 8 is extremely similar to Windows 7, however I wanted to see if anyone in the community has actually tried it yet.  I would hate to buy the software just to find out that it wont work.

I'm using an M-Audio MobilePre for my audio interface, and that appears to have the drivers installed with no problems.

Any advice from experience would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

BD

I think it should work. Since MC 6 is based on SONAR X1, you might want to poke around in the X1 forum to see if anyone has upgraded to Win 8 and how they're getting along.
And welcome to the forum.

Thank you very much for the link, very informative, and gives me hope that MC6 will in fact run just fine with Windows 8.  I'll take your suggestion and look in the X1 forums as well to see if I can find any more info ... but from what I read in the blog post, I'm willing to bet it will run just fine.  Worst case scenario I guess is that I would have to re-install Win7 and dual boot ... not the end of the world, but I would rather have everything I use in my main OS.

And thanks very much for the welcome :) If I do get this software I will gladly post back my experiences with it to help others who may be wondering the same thing.
