$3000 entry level.  But still, very cool.

Looks really cool. Star trek-ish almost...

Still, you can do a lot of other cool things with 3K...

True that.  I've actually got a similar HP model that swings the 23 inch monitor the same way.  And it cost less than a third of MS.  But MS is really going for the Apple-like crowd (but I think Apple has almost the whole tragically hipster crowd sewed up).  I'd really like to see a fast and portable 20+ inch tablet that was light enough to lug around.

but at the price you wouldn't want to lug it around. you'd lock it away under your bed at night.

having said that I need to add that I love my 900$ acer tablet as mobile live show DAW, but even if it doesn't look that expensive, it's still the last thing that goes on stage and the first thing that leave with me ... there are just too many uses for a small thing like that ;-)

That's true too.  Ah, the good ole days when no one tried to walk off with your Hammond, or even Leslie.  And if they could, you probably wouldn't want to say anything except "anything you need, Mr. Kong."

TerraSin
If they released a version that was just the monitor and accessories without the computer, I'd buy it immediately.

$4200 for the i7 model with 32GB RAM.
IIRC, you can't add RAM later.  What you buy is what you get.
