Hey everyone, long time, no see!

There's some "basic" Sonar stuff I need a refresher in, if anyone cares to take the time to quickly tell me, rather than me looking it up myself, like I should, lol.
1. How do you link (MIDI or Audio) CLIPS TOGETHER (on the same track) so that you can edit one and have it affect them all?

2. How do you link/connect separate TRACKS TOGETHER, so that editing one, edits them all?
For example:
I have piano part thats divded up between left hand and right hand parts, right?
I'm using 2 keyboards MIDI'ed together and have them on separate track and record together simultaneously.
So it's 2 keyboards blended for the LEFT HAND part, each on their own track, say track 1 and 2.
Then the RIGHT HAND part is 2 more tracks for the blended keyboard's Right hand part, tracks 3 and 4.

How do I "link" these tracks so I can quickly edit one track and have it effect all?
(There's also a MIDI only track recording the MIDI note data for LEFT and RIGHT hands.)

3. How do you do that trick where you make a clip of some kind, then you just drag the mouse cursor and kind of "paint" the copied clips so you can make repeating clips super easily?

Thanks everyone!

Hi Shawna,

I'll take a shot.

1.  Clips->bounce to clips (MIDI or Audio clips exclusive).
2.  Use select around tracks and change one.
3.  Groove clip looping.

For MIDI clips to be linked, they must be exact copies pasted as Linked Clips using Paste Special.

For audio, you can select the clips, right click on one and choose Create Selection Group. Or you can enable grouping in Record preferences in advance to have them grouped automatically as you record.

Ctrl+L converts a clip to a Groove Clip. Check the Beats in Clip property in the Inspector if the detected value ends up making the clip longer or shorter than expected.

Thanks Kzmaier!
I never got that far in my learning of Sonar. SO many things I don't know...
I'll have to try groove clips.

And I made a mistake in the 1st question...
I meant to say, how do you select DIFFERENT MULTIPLE TRACKS and edit them all by editing one?
Would that be the same procedure as question 2; Select and then edit? I think I actually tried that and it didn't work.

3 Groove clip looping like kzmaier said:
Highlight the clip. Press Ctrl L and you can drag/extend the loop.
(Make shure you have correct numer of bars on the original clip.)
