It requires a graphics card supporting OpenGL 2.1. Could that be the problem?
 
Also before uninstalling, if both VST2 and VST3 versions are installed, try one if the other doesn't work. Same with 32- and 64-bit versions, if they're available. 
 
Another possibility is that there is a bug that will be resolved at some point. So, I recommend not uninstalling it, but simply excluding it in the Plug-In Manager. Then if it's a problem that becomes resolved, you're covered.

Craig, how in the world do you know things like that?!?!?  I consider myself lucky to be able to turn on my guitar tuner.
