I actually make full backups of my projects before using Melodyne and I'm very aware I can clone the track before creating the fx region. This doesn't solve my issue of making small tweaks after listening with fresh ears. I don't want to have to start from scratch. I've over corrected a note or two before where it doesn't sound natural in context and it's nice to be able to back off on the correction (I'm talking errors that 90% of the population wouldn't even hear anyway).
So if I'm working on an fx region and my sonar crashes after an hour of fixing a track, I should just accept anomalies on that region when I re-open Sonar? So it's not enough that I save every 5 minutes but I should render my clips that often as well?
I actually don't even use Melodyne much anymore. The algorithms were more transparent back with 2 than they are now in 4. Just google "Melodyne 4 disappointment". I'm not alone with this opinion. I keep hoping Celemony will fix studio 4 to the quality I enjoyed previously.
