Has/is anyone using the Behringer Xtouch control surface with X3? Looking for a reasonably priced control surface that works well with Sonar. As I have the Xr18 the Behringer seems like an obvious choice but not if it doesn't integrate well.
Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

In MCU mode, Xtouch (full version) works with Sonar. Except VS700, there is no surface with better integrations (out of the box).

Works fine with Sonar Platinum. But the most buttons are incorrectly labeled and therefor swapped.

There is an overlay you can print that is available in other Behringer X-Touch threads here.  I believe the basic setup for X3 would be the same as the instructions posted for Platinum.

Thanks guys, I'll take the plunge as long as all the basic functions are available It will be great to have a live surface for my Xr18 as well. Are you able to re-assign the incorrectly labeled buttons to functions in Sonar?

There is no editor to re-assign the buttons. The only way is to print an overlay.
But basic buttons like Rec, Solo, Mute, Select, Faderbank, Channel ... are fully correct.
Also the 8 buttons F1 to F8 can be assigned within Sonar.

I just set up my X-Touch a couple of days ago by watching a YouTube video called 'Making the X-Touch work with Cakewalk Sonar'.  The guy offers several tips and tells where you can get the proper overlay.

Also, look for a thread I started on how to set this up for SONAR.  I did it over a year ago, when the unit was just released, but the info remains the same.
