There is something broken with "insert marker".

Just to clarify:
On a German OS, Not English OS. Correct ?

Not working correctly here, either, on a U.S. keyboard.

My problem may not be the same as THambrecht's, though. In my case, the shortcut works if it is reset to its default mapping ("M"). However, I have F11 bound to Insert Marker instead, and it does nothing.

Could still be related to the OP's problem, since the same function is affected and the problem just started with the last build.

I notice that F11 is bound to 'Full Screen' - I didn't set that, must be a new default with the addition of the Full Screen feature.

I am able to rebind it, but it doesn't perform the newly assigned Insert Marker function.  Rebinding it to Full Screen works correctly.

Interestingly, remapping F11 to Play/Stop works fine.

I have custom key bindings as well. just not on F11. I use M for marker as the default is M.
Works here.

I'm one of those for whom the "M" key would not insert a new marker following the new update. After some experimentation, I believe I've found a solution (not the cause of the problem, but a solution). This will be long, so bear with me.
I have an existing file of custom key bindings that I've created over the years, so simply rolling back to the default bindings isn't a very attractive option. (Using the defaults, however, as mentioned in a previous post, does restore the function of the M key.) Placing markers quickly with a keystroke is a great time-saver for me.
I discovered that the M key was still working on my laptop (which has yet to be updated), so I copied the key bindings file from there to my desktop. Voila! the M key inserted a new marker.
I was a happy camper until I discovered that as soon as I closed a file and opened a new one, the M key no longer functioned properly.
So, here's what I discovered: the key binding problem appears to be related to the new Lens function. I reinstalled the custom binding file, verified that it was working and then saved the lens. That appears to have resolved the issue. The M key now inserts a new marker at the Now time and keeps working when files are opened and closed. Curiously enough, the M key function continues to work regardless of which Lens I'm using, including one I've customized.
Hope this helps those of you having this issue.

Would like to try and repro what's going wrong so we can address it.

"Project | Insert marker" command is no longer associated with "Insert marker" code. So it does not work with any custom Key bindings nor from Control Surfaces. Regression bug, not much to discuss really

Nothing much to add here but I'm experiencing the same thing.  I'd like to use this update but not with a problem like this.

Just one more voice to the list for the "insert marker" key still not working (no matter what key it is bound to)...
