Build 10162 seems to be quite snappy and good...

I had some issues with audio on 10162, no audio devices were seen but ASIO worked. I uninstalled all the audio drivers, rebooted and reinstalled and it's working well now. This is a pretty polished build compared to even 10130. And it seems quite a lot faster than 10130 as well.

Preview versions coming "hot and heavy" now.  10162 released yesterday.

Yep, three fast ring builds in a week!

Build 10130 totally trashed my old DAW that I was testing Win 10 on.  To the point that when I tried to use the ISO to do a clean install, it kept on trying to install on my E drive.  But that's beta software.  I did managed to rebuild the PC but had to go back and wipe the drive, reformat it and install XP, then the Win 7 upgrade.  I'm going to try to take the opportunity to put in some larger HD that I salvaged from another old PC and give it a go with build 10162.

I did a clean install with ISO of build 10130 on my main machine last week. It sure wasn't without its issues but it did install okay and I've been upgrading to each new build as it came out. 10130 was pretty shaky for sure, to the extent that I professed my nervousness in this thread about MS being able to pull off RTM this month. At this point I think I was being pessimistic. While 10162 isn't perfect, I'm feeling a lot better about the prospects of a quality RTM release.

I think you're wise to skip to 10162, it's the most polished build so far and it's darn fast too.

By the way, the issues I've had throughout the preview program with the various releases have been numerous and very frustrating (I keep muttering "I signed up for this, I signed up for this..."), and I've posted about 50 feedback items to the program. Sonar, however, has worked pretty flawlessly throughout the experience on even the crankiest of builds, and while my mail or my browser may have crashed uncontrollably, Sonar kept pumping right along, and my creaky old MOTU firewire interface has worked great even with the in-the-box firewire drivers (no legacy driver installs.) For DAW's this OS is looking pretty promising. I'm looking forward to seeing some DAW benchmark numbers.

I ended up updating from Win 7 instead of using the ISO and just noticed that it's installing build 10130!

Hope it doesn't brick my PC again.  I though I was on the fast ring but think I might be on the slow?  That might be why.

Failed again but think I might have found the solution here:

Finally worked but had to jump through a number of hoops. Right after the blue Windows appears and it started to install, I kept on getting a blank screen. I figure it was frozen and just left it be but after about 50 minutes, I heard my PC reboot and the installation completed.  Still on build 10300 and I was on the slow ring so changed it to the fast and will wait for the next update.

Hopefully, these issues won't be a problem come July 29th as if this was my main DAW, I would really be upset.

Good to hear you got it going! You should see the update right away if you're fast ring. I think I read that they are pushing 10162 to the slow ring.
