its all very well flopping it on the table and measuring your latency :D ....but really at 800-900 Euros isn't the OP  pretty much limited to building his own?.

I simply see a custom PC way outside the budget for the OP (and thousands of others) so recommendations for suitable commercially available MB/BIOS would be a solid contribution to the OP and the spirit of this thread...

At the rate at which we replace our individual computers I don't know any of us who could answer that question - except. Jim Roseberry builds Audio PCs for a living. When I built my last PC I paid Jima fee and he gave me a parts list with links to where I might buy them. He trained me how to do burn in tests and troubleshoot matters if they come up etc all for a very small fee. Well worth it and what I would recommend to anyone who couldn't buy one of his dedicated PCs.

Speaking of which......you need to be on TF2 mate!! (the natives are getting restless)

Here's a good link on getting started with DPC latency:

I have no issues on my system, I was just wondering what BIOS settings he recommends customizing. I build my own systems and as such the boards I use (an ASUS X99 Deluxe in this case) have a stupid amount of customization available. I'm just curious as to what he'd recommend changing. I don't know that I would make any changes, as I said I'm not having problems and for me stability is the most important thing, followed by gaming performance, and only then audio performance. But I'd look in to the settings and what they do and maybe test it to see what, if any, difference it makes.

I think this is part of his "secret sauce" - some of the value he brings to the custom audio PC solution.  Jim does consult, so you can pick his brain for a fee.

No thanks, as I said, my system works fine. Also it is something I could research, if I cared enough. Personally I'm not a big fan of "This is information I won't share as it is what gives me value," since I find that approach counterproductive in IT and it makes your value vulnerable should someone else find it out and share it.

I was just curious, particularly since much of the advice floating around on DPC latency on the 'net is outdated and often wrong.
