Check out MeldaProduction's free MFreeFXBundle.

Great plugins. Very flexible. Light CPU weight. I licensed the bundle (about $60) of 34 effects. Includes:

MFlanger, MPhaser, MTremelo, MVibrato and MSaturator

They don't waste time with stomp box graphics. Just excellent FX. Note that they have one of the best modulation systems going.

Another possibility is the Kuassa Efektor series of stomp box plugins.

I have their Amplifikation Vermilion amp sim. It's excellent!

It's not lightweight and not fx only, but when I want some fuzz/OD/distortion I go to TH3.

Try "the Scream" by Cytomic.
https://cytomic.com/scream

This is a really good tube screamer and it goes into other stompbox (SD1 etc) too.

It's technically a beta - but is totally stable. It's been like this for ages 😉

TH3 and AmpliTube have great stomp boxes (and the AmpliTube custom shop has a ton of extra ones for sale).

Maybe it's worth downloading the free AmpliTube Custom Shop, I think it comes with a number of free stomp boxes.

You may also want to take a look at Peavey's Revalver 4.

It's similar to Amplitube in that you either buy a bundled version with loads of amps/stompboxes/cabs etc inclued, or you can get a more basic version and buy your accessories as you go along: Stompboxes are just under $4 each ($3.99), Amps are $8, and cabs are $2.

Happy,

Can't let this go without a way honorable mention to the peak zenith of floor box stomps. My opinion, but it don't get much better than this.
P&M stomps

http://www.plugandmix.com/products/software

Anything related to their overdrives, American Tweed, California, British  and others.

About the only stomps that recreate the speakers fluttering in the wind with a backdrop of tube distortion. Their Echoplex is outstanding. Two reverb stomps almost too much for a floor box. The list does go on.

Their VIP bundle has 50 some stomps, some of which would never get used in honesty, but a lot of control over eq dynamics in many of the back burner boxes.

My advice, download some of the demos. They work for about 20 minutes before shutting down in the demo mode, way enough to cut a song.

Would have to search, but P&M allowed one free plugin for a Facebook like. Maybe still. They said you can do multiple likes from different accounts and get another $50 stomp box for free.

Sleeper devices under the radar. Blows about everything else I got off the map, and got most of the big guns to compare against.

John
