Why can't I just have the regular old synth rack view. With + sign then red X for removal of synth. Then properties, then Insert synth options then drop down menu which defaults to NONE when rack is empty. . Every time I add a synth the view changes. I do NOT want it to change. I see no way to get back to this view.
Maybe not enough info but I couldn't upload a pict.
 
BTW, what it changes to is instrument view? I do NOT WANT instrument view. I did not ask for this view.. Maybe the way I work is strange, but it works for me. But since the last view updates It is all driving me nuts.

All synths are listed in a "windows type list view. Defined by the user . It is my list, the ones I want in my syth layouts. But I do NOT want the original view to change every time I add a synth. I cannot stop it and getting back to the view I want is a joke.
 
Thsi issue is NEW for me anyway. I update every time. Never wait. I now have rolled back to 10/04/2016. I'll see what happens their.

Rolling back to the LAST September build fixed the issue. So I am guessing perhaps I can keep updating until the problem comes back. 
Probably going to be the last update since I use Sonar everyday.

Lastly, I understand I should Learn all the new features. But I just do not feel that something as the view in the synth rack remainng the same as it has for me since, jeeezzz, I cannot remember. Since forever. That just does not seem like progress to me.
 
Perhaps my install got corrupted. That would be a first for me in over 20 years. I am just a home studio user. Have been since CWPA 6 or so.

Nope....Of course not. I get that. But I can only honestly say that as long as the synth rack has been their, it NEVER, EVER changed views on me just because I added a synth using the plus sign. So progress does not have to mean removing some simple, basic things. I also have gotten back up to the October build 22.10 Build 19.
 
So I will make an educated guess that the Next update is the one where this behavior changed. So I guess for now this is where I stay. I will read all the release notes and see if I can find out why this is happening and what I can do to prevent it.........I would rather take the updates. I did not buy the lifetime deal to stay where I am now. I have upgraded every version of CWPA and Sonar except ONE....Just sayin

It explains the changes with the synth rack view. Probably won't fix the issue you're describing but it's when the behaviour of the synth rack changed.

I knew that.....about the ribbing. I will read that. Thanks. For now I am still staying where I am...too frustrating. Thanks you for your input..It is appreciated.
 

Synth rack was easier to access.  More clicks does not = progress for me.
