Sonar wish list:
1. Delete hole cleaned up and usable. I write in Sonar and fit the tempo track to my piano midi. Coming back later and moving sections around would be much easier if the delete hole function worked as well as the insert measure function.
2. Would love to see a tempo track where the tempo is a standard envelope just like CC controllers. Maybe instead of 1-127 the range is something like 10 or 20 bpm through 240? 360? What's reasonable?
3. A chord track would be nice - alternately an unlimited number of text tracks which could include either chords or lyrics tied to measures/beats.
4. +1 ability to copy entire tracks including all midi/audio and plugs from one open project to another.
5. Like the idea of more flexible metering, esp. VU meters.
6. Create an option for sticky plug-in UIs. I hate that I have to cntr-click to get a plug-in to remain open while I open another. If I want to have several open at once if I forget even once all the other plugs disappear and I'm starting from scratch.
7. Increase integration with Melodyne such that it can be included as a lane, a la Digital Performer's pitch automation
Video Wish List:
Just one right now - drum maps. I've purchased a number of drum libraries in different formats but tend to only use AD (which is great, but hate to not use the other libraries I paid for) because the mapping is different. The one time I tried to make my own drum map (to map between Session Drummer and Garritan's Jazz and Big Band brush kit) it never worked. When I turned on the drum map I was greeted with silence and never did figure out what I was doing wrong. Heck, if users can share their working drum maps between various drum vsts that would be handy.
Thanks for listening
