I would like a proper wave editor inside Plat. Also I would like the Bakers to develop an add-on program to master a track or group of tracks the way that it is handled in Studio one. You know the way if you make a change to one of the tracks in you mastering project the hole thing is updated to reflect the change, so you could continue with the mastering project. I know that Craig would be in favor of this.
Yes, I would...even though I have to admit the relevance is fading in the rear view mirror as fewer and fewer people do albums.
However, I actually think there's a better way to do this than the Studio One implementation (not a knock on Studio One, that concept was brilliant). This is something I'm working on to present to Cakewalk, so they can ignore it

. It's one of those "so obvious no one ever thought of it " things so I keep thinking there must be a catch...but I haven't found it yet. I also think it addresses needs beyond the original SOP concept of "You're creating an album."
As to a wave editor...I know a lot of people ask for that, but Tools Menu + Sound Forge keeps me happy, and SONAR unbloated.
I have to say that I think Cakewalk has done a
fantastic job on SONAR's evolution. I know people like to complain if their particular needs aren't met, but there has been some truly significant innovation. It's not just the "big things," but something like Smart Swipe is a fine example of a feature that may not seem like a big deal...until you realize how much you use it.
