Hi, Can anyone answer the following for me in relation MC 6; 1) Can you import midi files into it? 2) Does it recognise the old cakewalk .wrk and .bun files? 3) Is there an online manual or similar comprehensive view I can read that will detail all of the available features? Thanks in advance.

1. Yes.
2. Yes, but if you save them in MC 6, you won't be able to open them in your old program. The new file extensions are .cwp and .cwb.
3. I don't know. Sorry about that. There are tons of videos using X1 which MC 6 is based on.

MC 6 will do pretty much everything you need to record and compose music.

This is the official cakewalk page for it  :  http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/MusicCreator/

have a look and if there is something you want to know and can not find it there just ask since we have it and can look up those features if we don't already know the answer.

I used MC4 for more than 3 years to record my music. It allowed me to produce music that has been signed into music libraries for commercial use. So while CW refers to MC as "beginner" software, it is simply put, all that and more. It's easy to use, and extremely powerful in what it CAN do.

once you get it, there is a help/manual that is accessible to help you find answers and of course, you can always ask here too.
