I'm not the OP but it solved it for me. I just finished remixing a project with eight instances of Neutron in Sonar. I had to increase my buffer size, but I often do that when adding various mixing plugins anyway.

So Neutron is working exactly as demonstrated in the video for me, including track assistant and masking features.

EDIT: By the way, that project also included an instance of Omnisphere and one of Keyscape, both of which are CPU hogs, so I was pleased when all continued working.

I don't mean this in any negative way but post #4 was not my post.  Shouldn't the person starting the thread be the one to mark it solved?

Ideally, yes. But a lot of people don't remember to do so, or they don't come back for a few days and it's dropped off the page so the solution get lost, or whatever. And the post said "Solved," so...

But I knew this time, it was a judgement call so I monitored the thread closely. As the time stamps show, it didn't take long after you said it wasn't solved before I changed it back.

What happens if you try:
- Neutron only on tracks
- Neutron only a bus via the FX bin
- Neutron only on bus via ProChannel

Good old trial and error often helps narrow things down. What about 2,3,4 instances?

For me the problem is definitely solved, I mixed a track with 6 instances of Neutron on bus FX bin's only.
My computer is about a two year old i7 with a Roland Quad Capture and the CPU was great.

The track doesn't have any pop's, it sounds great and the mix was quicker - just needs a good axeman to add some guitar parts.

I wrote Solved on my previous post to help draw attention to it - hope amiller gets it sorted.

Can you let me know how you got the track assistant to work? I just can`t get it. It start running but never form a preset for a track. Everything else works for me as well, including masking. I am using the demo/trial 10 days version & according to Izotope, it is no limitations on the demo, so it can`t be that either.

I might be able to answer this for you.  I discovered that I couldn't have the project playing and then hit Track Assistant.  I have to first hit Track Assistant and then start the project.  This is a consistent method for me.

Oh, OK, got it.  That makes perfect sense in an internet environment.  Thanks for the explanation.

I'm thinking some of the issues I'm having are buffer related.  Do you guys set you buffers differently depending on if your tracking vs. playback?

i don't have any issues with neuron advanced, i leave my buffers at 128 at all times, mostly i just have drum tracks, 4 or 5 guitar tracks, bass guitar track, a couple of vocal tracks and sometimes 1 or 2 tracks with keyboard/piano/synth vsti, nothing huge, just basic rock stuff, never found the need to alter buffer settings

I'll have to check to see what my buffers are set to.  Thanks for info.

Okei, I tried that. Just want to give up on this & since there are no official support for the Cakewalk Sonar yet, the 10 days demo will be of no use. Thanks for trying to help out. Everything else works, but not this important feature.
