The title pretty much says it all. Sonar will go into fits where it will always recycle the plugin window regardless if the setting I have in options. When it has it's fit, I cannot hold Ctrl to override the behavior - it ALWAYS opens the plugin in the same window.

are they VST 2 plug ins ? I've only had this happen to me using VST 2 but been fine with VST 3

I'm not really sure - I have Sonar set to automatically update VSTs to v3 if available. I know it is happening across brands (Waves, UAD, Softube) but I'll have to see if VST2/3 has anything to do with it...
