I had used VST Inventory before and it was working great.  But this morning when I tried to use it to get a list of my current plugins (I want to uninstall some demo plugins I've installed this past week) I'm surprised to find none of those plugins are on the list.  No errors are reported and it generates the spreadsheet, with the current date at the top.  But the plugin list is older, like it didn't refresh with the current registry.  Is there something I need to do to get it to pull the plugin list again?

Ok did some more checking, it looks like VST Inventory is pulling the list from
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\SONAR Producer\Cakewalk VST X64

But Sonar Platinum's list appears to be in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\SONAR\Cakewalk VST X64

So it's showing me my X3 plugins, which I haven't started/updated in a while.

The new SONAR introduced a new location for the VST Inventory. The latest version of the plug-in inventory tool was released before the new SONAR so it is unaware of the change.

May need to ask for an update.

30? 29? 28? 27????

Don't you all know 42 is the answer to everything.

Spinal Tap uses 11 plug-ins. Soooo much better than when they used 10.

I'm interested in the inventory tool also if it gets updated.

I have 540 and somehow I don't feel as bad now.
It's rare I use any 32x anymore, might be time to clean house.

As far as how many I actually need ... all of them if I need them. lol

Not into writing down, like, 275 plugin names. Thanks!

Can somebody verify the bolded registry path above? I added it to the search list, but I do not have Platinum here so mudgel volunteered to test it and he reports that it's not working.

I assumed that the full path was
HKCU\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\SONAR\Cakewalk VST X64\Inventory

Thanks for the program.

I ran the program and it lists 126 VST's.    When I start Sonar it shows 155 plug-ins???

Bitflipper you are correct
HKCU\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\SONAR\Cakewalk VST X64\Inventory
shows all Vst's installed. I am running Platinum.
