I'm looking to get a Controller, my main area is for controlling the console.  There is not much info on compatibility etc and so I'm wondering if you have an recommendations, its just for a controller, don't need an Audio card.
 
I used have a nanocontrol 2 which was basic (and cheap) but I am willing the spread the budget a bit more.
 
I'm looking at items such as the nanocontrol Studio, novation Launchcontrol or even one of the lower end Icon devices which look pretty good.  But I'm concerned about compatibility ease of setup etc. 
 
Any recommendations would be great.

I would recommend motorized faders.  I have the nanocontrol and don't use it.  I am looking at the Faderport's or the Behringer moto controls.  More $$'s though.

The Behringer X-touch Compact seems good and cheap.
