  • Dynamically adjust size of content (track size in console, fader height in inspector...)

It would be great to have SONAR adjust the size of graphic content (track height in console, ...) of the software dynamically when you change the size of the docked windows. Right now it's not always easy to see content of the console view without scrolling, or in track inspector, maybe just displaying most important parts when you reduce the console view etc ?

If you go to:

http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=Menus1.182.html#1306571

And scroll down to Track View Shortcuts - you will see a BUNCH of shortcut keys that will control what things are displayed and how they are re-sized to meet different viewing needs/preferences you may have.

Take a look and see if anything there fits the bill for you.

Thanks Bob,

I just checked that and indeed those are cool, but aren't dynamic, what I mean is more of an automatic way of adjusting visual content. For example if you have a the mixer open, and then decide to reduce the window, it would be cool to have the content to be adjusted, maybe smaller or with less parts vertically so the most needed parts are visible only, right now if you change the height of the mixer, you have to scroll to see your tool on top of the faders. Probably best would be to use re-sizable parts ?

thanks,

I'd settle for a few different preset sizes if dynamic sizing isn't in the cards - I think that would require vector graphics but SONAR uses bitmaps.   I'm picturing something along the lines of 3-4 widths and heights using a scale widget in the lower left corner.

This is prolly a generalized version of the Taller Fader request ...

Yes this might need vector graphics, or maybe higher sized bitmaps that can be downsized. In any way that would make it easier to overview all the mixer elements in one screen. I didn't check the Taller Fader request yet, will do!
