Do you really want to put your recording future with a company that would do this?

 
Yes, I would, and am thankful that Cubase AND Studio One (you did see they are "vultures" as well?) are trying to help out Sonar users. 
 
You clearly don't like Cubase, and your are entitled to your opinion.

There is NO debate here! This is an AD! and at a time when heads are spinning on what to do next? Where should we spend our cash? Cubase is trying to take advantage of a state of confusion and spontaneous buying!

One thing I have enjoyed about Sonar is the ability to have it installed on my DAW computer, as well as my Surface.

One thing I have enjoyed about Sonar is the ability to have it installed on my DAW computer, as well as my Surface.
 

Your license is held on a USB key thing.  You can install on as many machines as you can find, but only the one with the key will work.
If you have 2 keys....

Greg, will there be a 9.5 demo released before the Sonar crossgrade offer goes away? And does Melodyne function well in Cubase? I'm seeing a few posts about lack of ARA support and I'm not sure if this is necessary for Melodyne to work in a DAW. Thanks for the offer and any reply!
