Wow!  I would think that the bug involving copying MIDI data from one track to another (copy-special), without having to make the receiving track the active track, would have gotten top priority.. I don't see this bug as being addressed!  Why?

This has been an issued since Platinum 22.8 and above.   It seems to be a vitally important function, does CW not plan on fixing it? I have sent Problem Reports and I wrote to Noel Borthwick about it because copying and pasting is essential to using a DAW, regardless of whether you're a composer, songwriter, film scorer, or recording engineer.  What in the world are the developers thinking, do they not consider this a bug????

They may be spending time making sure some long standing bugs don't get baked into the OSX version. Perhaps then they will retro fit them into the PC version. Just a guess, but I'd like it if bugs like this got top priority before we get another way to change the look and feel of the DAW.
Really unclear what drives the decision making process. It's kind of like painting a car with a blown head gasket and a flat tire. Looks real good, doesn't drive any better.

Merry Christmas Jerry!.

I feel your pain, Jerry, I really do...

As you know, I'd like to see the Staff View fixes happen for a variety of reasons. The last time I talked to the Bakers about Staff View I got the impression they preferred to fix multiple Staff View bugs at once because the code is ancient, and they want to avoid unintended consequences (like blowing up MIDI or something) as they venture into the swamp and start messing with its ecosystem. This was a couple months ago, so someone from CW can chime in if that's no longer correct.

As to when they'll make these changes, I have no idea - but it is on their radar, and I know they've been collecting a list of fixes.

Meanwhile, look on the bright side...at least the note head doesn't disappear any more when using the select tool. I presume all the Staff view fixes that have been done so far have not required venturing too far into the swamp.

I just updated my Sonar Platinum with this update and now I cant seem to located some plugins that I had purchased in the past.  I cannot locate nor can find my Neutron advance, Ozone 7, my wave plugin purchases such as CLA 2, 3, and 76, my NX virtual mixroon plugin, and others.  Unless it is listed now some where else in my DAW.  Can someone help please?

I don't know how definitive my answer is, but my plug-in manager changed somehow awhile ago and I still don't have it sorted out, and I don't think I'm the only one.  I'll give it a go in the morning and post back, but I'm getting annoyed with updates/"improvements" that change my setup without warning it's going to do it automatically.

Hi Craig,
It's not a staff view issue, it's a copy & paste issue that also happens when editing in the Event List as well.   I've confirmed it and other have as well, that's how I found out that Platinum 22.7 is the last version where the paste-special command works correctly, as expected, and as it always has.  The developers have already messed with MIDI, as cut, copy and paste operations have been solid for a long time.

Go into Plugin manager and do a Rescan. But before you do, do a RESET and make sure all the paths are correct in the Plugin Manager

Thanks for the clarification, I'll ask what's up.

Super pleased to have Sonar working great after update!

I Couldn't get past a hung up vst scan - Melodyne region FX disappeared & couldn't load new plugins so I decided to try the pre release out of desperation.

Update was difficult with error 5 hung at scan set up. Went back to Oct update then back to Dec and finally all fell miraculously into place.
