They may be spending time making sure some long standing bugs don't get baked into the OSX version. Perhaps then they will retro fit them into the PC version. 

This kind of concern about the diversion/dilution of Windows development in a port to Mac OS, was one of the main reasons that us old Windows curmudgeons thought a port would be undesirable. But I think we have been assured that Cakewalk is capable of walking and chewing gum simultaneously.

What is the copy / paste bug we are talking about anyway ? Not sure I've seen the effects of this bug myself.
not to say its not there but I often copy midi from track to track (did it today) but didn't notice anything out of the norm.

The bug is there, easy to reproduce, and affects anyone who uses Paste Special and the Destination Starting Track to paste clips, MIDI, or any event and expects the data to go to a track other than the Current track.

Possibly the reason I didn't see it. I don't often use Special Paste.
The only reason I see using Special Paste is for repetitive Pastes, would this be accurate ?

I might add that this error report is still in state New, so it hasn't even been opened. Let alone fixed.

The reason to use Special Paste is to paste material from one track to another, either at the same location or another location.   If you you regular paste, you have to make sure the track you are pasting to is the active track, but with special paste you don't have to do that, as you choose the destination track in the paste dialogue box.
