Hello everyone. Man it's been a long time since I've posted here. It's been a long time since I've used Sonar. Anyways, I have recently fired up Sonar X2 again and I am having a problem. I have a Yamaha Motif ES rack that I use as a tone generator and I use a Korg Taktile-49 as a controller. Whenever I have a MIDI track that uses the Motif, the panning does not work. The panning is not working on the track pane, nor in the pro channel area. I have never had this problem, therefore the solution eludes me. Does anyone have any idea why this would be? If I use a plug-in the panning works fine. Or an audio track. But on the MIDI tracks that use the Motif, no go.

Also, I used to be able to scroll through the Motif's patches by highlighting the patch button in the track view and pressing the + button. Does X2 have a feature like this any more? I kind of miss that.

Thanks as always for your help!

Are you direct-monitoring the Motif, or input monitoring via an audio track in SONAR? If input monitoring are you talking about the MIDI track pan or the Audio track pan or pan widget on the Korg? If MIDI track pan do you have a forced Output channel set? SONAR tracks will send controller messages on channel 1 of no forced channel is set.

Thanks for your response brundlefly. After about 40 minutes worth of checking everything, I finally saw the little MONO button on my Roland Quad-Capture lit up. I turned it off and now everything is working again. I told you it's been a long time!
