Hello Fellow Geniuses,

This challenge started today: Sonar Platinum (and Samplitude) doesn't recognize my Quad-Capture audio interface.  The control panel displays the Quad-Capture properly.   The device manager shows no problem and the latest driver is installed.  The unit itself looks right with all the usual lights. I've restarted several times and tried a different USB port.  A stand-alone version of Sampletank 3 also has no sound. The tutorial player, Groove 3, has sound.  I do hear audio in YouTube.

Excuse my Martian, but what the hell is going on here!?
Thank you!

If you have Windows 10, sometimes it's necessary to re-install drivers. I had to do that with an Octa-Capture after a Windows 10 update.

Thanks, Craig.  I should've mentioned I'm using Windows 8.1.

Do you have Groove or your browser open when launching Sonar?  ASIO drivers don't like sharing the interface and one of those apps might be holding on to the driver and not letting Sonar use it.

Thank you Dave.  I re-loaded the driver and all is good now.  Whoopee!

Hi there - I had the same problem today.  This morning my Sonar Platinum worked fine.  This evening, it failed to recognize my Behringer X-air X(R)18 mixing board.  Even though Windows 10 gave the appropriate beep when the USB was plugged in, Sonar could not see it.  Fortunately, I have an older computer - identical hardware, but still running Win 7 Pro - which has Sonar Professional on it.  That machine could see the Behringer, so I knew it wasn't the mixing board.  So I kept reading and found this post.  Then, I went and found the driver for the Behringer and re-ran it (it's an EXE file), that solved the problem.

Double Yippee!!
