Generally the greyness of Sonar is terrible, Just load up 8.5 or Cubase and it very refreshing to see some colour.

Yes, this greyness makes me unhappy. I believe that every single color, without exception, should be customizable.

I generally like the clean sobriety of the UI design, myself, but I think there are a few places where they've valued aesthetics over function, and I'd like to see some of that tightened up a bit.

There's also some glaring inconsistency, and this FX bin thing is a great example of it. The general scheme is that things that are on are lit up blue, and things that are off are greyed out. Fine, that works. But the FX bin alternates between two different degrees of greyed out. It's not just unclear in and of itself, it also breaks the convention of the rest of the UI.

I agree with all the responses here.

Voted. I agree that it would be nice with better contrast, in the FX bin.

Yep I'd like this. My eyes aren't getting any younger and I'm starting to have to really strain to use Sonar.

This is one of my few pet peeves with Sonar. It drives me nuts that the difference between on and off is so subtle. The PC modules have a button that lights up. FX in the bin should have something similar.

I've been thinking this exact same thing for awhile now just never posted anyting about it! glad i wasnt the only one who noticed its somewhat hard to tell on the fly. I've had to click the bypass on and off before just to be sure.

I find it almost impossible to determine when a plugin is enabled or disabled in the effects bin. I'm not the dumbest guy on the planet yet for the life of me I can't figure out what the logic is - when does it turn blue, when light blue, when grey and when light grey?

Please change the FX bin appearance in general so that it looks more professional and that it's obvious what state the plugin is in.

I was thinking it would be cool to color code them like you can do to tracks. Pick an on and off color.
