I'm in the middle of a project where I'm laying down my guitar tracks. I just realized it would be pretty great if instead of a text based description of the track I could simply add a picture file. This would allow me to take a picture of my physical pedal board to recall my set up for each tone. Sure would save the hassle of writing Drive = 12 o'clock, tone = 9 o'clock etc. The convenience of having a picture of my actual setup with the same track would be awesome.

It sounds too complicated for me. I just put some numbers in the track name, in top->bottom, left->right order of knobs on the pedals. For example track name could be like "Lead Drive 0.5 1 0.7 0.5 0.5", so I don't need to look for this information. But I always record one pedal at once. So if there would be many of them...
P. S. There is plugin, that could store pictures, I don't know if it works well:

Or you can store jpgs separately and name tracks like "Lead Drive 001.jpg"

I get that not everyone would go for this but I meant it more as a alternate option. If you're working with pedal chains that's going to be a long list of numbers.
Thanks for the links .
