Many, many thanks!

I will confess that my ears are scratching their heads . . . the "lack of air" comments are surprising me . . . but that is precisely the value of the forum, isn't it. Thanks so much, I will play with some  subtle eq tweaks up there. It might give me an excuse to go buy a sweet passive eq plugin . . .  :)

The piano is my newly acquired EastWest Platinum Quantum Leap Quasar Particle Horizon whatever it's called - so the samples are ten years old, there is no half pedalling, and to me my main concern is a certain muddiness in the lower mids.

many many thanks!

Gorgeous Tom. Just the right amount of melancholy.

You might enjoy this video. It's very basic but pretty much follows the way I approach piano EQ.

Nothing muffly to my ears - sounds sublime - nicely mixed with the footage too

Indeed beautiful. Muddiness ? Yeah maybe a little but does not bother me. I would check it through other pianos. The bright one that I like is EZ Keys Grand. Congrats

I liked the warmness.  Great playing and very relaxing.  I liked the video too.

Absoflippinlutely beautiful!  You really combined a wonderful composition, playing, and video for 2 minutes and 57 seconds of pleasure.  It made me melancholy for my younger days that were spent hiking and out on and in the water.
Thanks for posting.

You and I are kindred souls Tom. I could listen to you play all night. Just beautiful. I like a warm reverb patch myself. I think it sounds good like that.
