Hey all, I'm back..
Well This Win10 pc ran fine, all various projects, midi only via midi keyboard, midi drum kit OR both my old FW interface did it, no problems... NOW its no bueno, I can occasionally get 1 keyboard only project to open and run, but now I want it all and for the life of me never struggled with settings THIS MUCH via the clock, spdif etc.. it JUST RAN!!  Now i get this red "Mismatch" and can't sus it out..  help...  All win 10 audio devices are disabled OR uninstalled ex, fancy pants 4k video card mini speaker.  it was all running GR8 not too long ago.
 
Here be my specs... IF I FAILED TO REPORT ANYTHING PLEASE ADVISE.. THX AS ALWAYS ;)

Ok,  I went with the next newer M audio driver win 7 sp1 64 ... aka Ver. 6.0.4.  all the settings are listed in my tech spec sheet to follow.  hopes this helps at least me in the future.  Hard to run projects now keeping clock/ music comes out.

According to the manual, the "Mismatch" error means there are (at least) two different sample rates being detected at the digital input ports.  Check those connections and settings.
 
It's also possible that a Win 10 update changed a sample rate setting somewhere.
 
If all these seem to check out, try uninstalling/reinstalling the interface drivers.

Is  the turbo function of your I5  processor enabled ?
If yes , try  dsabling it .

Ok, I finally enabled sys protection and made a backup after going thru one more hellish, install, repair and uninstall, each with its own restart OR shut down. this is over 6.0.1, 6.0.4 and 6.1.1 back to once again 6.0.4 a win 7 64 sp1 driver!! WOW... ;(  I stupidly wanted to hear a utube and SHOVED a SYBA usb audio headphone jack, supposedly DRIVERLESS or PNP... very stupid on my part, into my main music box...  oh and i also deleted a few registry strings pertaining to profire lightbridge.  anyhoo what i found?
TURN THE DAMN AUDIO INTERFACE ON  B E F O R E  the pc... then seemingly win 10 pro has no choice in the debate.
 
  Making yet another registry BACKUP with descriptive name saved to no less than 3 hard drives, 2 ssd one regular.
 
Also there is a 6kb difference between the working registry and the NON working registry tho YMMV.
